Frequently Asked Questions

Before You Buy

How do I choose between a cold plunge and an infrared sauna?

They serve different goals. Cold plunges are typically used for post-workout recovery, inflammation reduction, mental alertness, and resilience training. Infrared saunas are used for relaxation, cardiovascular support, detoxification, and sleep quality. Many of our customers eventually own both and alternate between them — contrast therapy refers to using cold and heat in sequence, which research suggests may amplify the benefits of each. If you're starting with one, choose based on your primary goal: cold for recovery and activation, heat for relaxation and recovery support.

What size cold plunge do I need?

Cold plunges are sized by interior dimensions and depth. Most adults are comfortable in a tub with at least 64 inches of interior length and 24-28 inches of depth. If you're over six feet tall, look for 70+ inches of interior length. We list precise interior and exterior dimensions on every product page so you can measure your space before ordering.

How much space do I need for an infrared sauna?

A one-person sauna needs roughly 3 x 4 feet of floor space plus clearance for the door to open outward. Two-person saunas need around 4 x 5 feet. Three-person and larger units scale up from there. You'll also need at least 7 feet of ceiling clearance for most models. Specific dimensions are on each product listing.

Do I need a dedicated electrical circuit?

Most cold plunges run on standard 110V household outlets, though some commercial-grade chillers require 220V. Infrared saunas typically run on 110V for one-to-two-person units and 220V for larger models. Each product page lists exact electrical requirements. We recommend checking with a licensed electrician if you're unsure about your home's capacity.

Can these be used indoors and outdoors?

It depends on the specific product. Some cold plunges are rated for indoor or covered outdoor use only, while others are designed to withstand direct sun, rain, and freeze conditions. Saunas vary similarly. We note indoor/outdoor ratings clearly on every listing.

Shipping & Delivery

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is free on every order within the contiguous United States. Some oversized or remote-area orders may require additional handling — if that applies to your order, we'll contact you before charging anything additional, and you can cancel for a full refund.

How long does delivery take?

Lead times vary by product and manufacturer. Most cold plunges ship within 2-4 weeks of order. Most infrared saunas ship within 3-6 weeks. Once shipped, freight delivery typically takes another 5-10 business days. Each product page lists current estimated lead times, and we'll send tracking information as soon as your order ships.

Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or internationally?

Currently we ship within the contiguous 48 states only. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and international destinations is sometimes possible by special arrangement — contact us before ordering and we'll see what we can do.

How will my order be delivered?

Cold plunges and infrared saunas are shipped via freight carrier, not standard parcel services. Freight delivery means the carrier will call you to schedule a delivery window. Delivery is curbside — the driver will lower the crate from the truck to the ground at the end of your driveway. You're responsible for moving it from there to its final location, which may require help. Some products offer optional white-glove delivery for an additional fee; this will be noted on the product page.

What if the product is damaged in shipping?

Inspect every shipment carefully before signing the delivery receipt. If you see visible damage to the crate or packaging, note it on the receipt before the driver leaves. Take photos. Then contact us within 48 hours and we'll handle the replacement or repair process with the manufacturer. Do not sign for shipments as "received in good condition" without inspecting first — this significantly affects your ability to file a damage claim.

Setup & Use

Is assembly included?

Most cold plunges arrive fully assembled and ready to use after filling with water. Most infrared saunas arrive in pre-built panels that connect together — typical assembly takes 1-2 hours with two people and basic tools. Each product page details the assembly required.

How often do I need to change the water in my cold plunge?

It depends on the filtration and sanitation system. Most modern cold plunges include a filtration system and ozone or UV sanitation, allowing water to be maintained for 1-3 months between full changes with regular filter cleaning. We'll include manufacturer-specific maintenance instructions with every order.

What's the recommended cold plunge protocol?

This varies by goal and experience level. A common starting point is 2-3 minutes at 50-55°F, 2-3 times per week. More experienced users may go colder (38-45°F) for shorter durations. We recommend consulting with your physician before starting cold exposure therapy, particularly if you have cardiovascular conditions, are pregnant, or are managing any chronic illness.

How often should I use an infrared sauna?

Typical use ranges from 3-5 sessions per week at 20-45 minutes each, depending on temperature tolerance and goals. As with cold exposure, consult your physician before starting regular sauna use if you have any underlying health conditions.

Returns, Warranty & Support

What's your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery. If the product isn't right for you, contact us and we'll arrange return shipping. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5-10 business days of return receipt. Some products may carry return shipping or restocking fees due to their size and freight requirements — these are clearly noted on each product page before checkout.

What's the warranty?

Warranty terms vary by manufacturer. Most cold plunges carry a 2-5 year structural warranty and a 1-2 year warranty on chillers and electrical components. Most infrared saunas carry a 5-year warranty on the cabin and a 1-year warranty on heaters and electronics. Exact warranty terms are listed on each product page, and we help facilitate every warranty claim directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
