The name Stonehaven comes from the Scottish coast — a stone harbour that stood as the only safe refuge along a fierce and unforgiving coastline, where sailors battered by the North Sea could finally rest and recover.

For centuries, the Norse and Scottish cultures who called this coast home practiced what we now call contrast therapy — alternating between heat and cold as a ritual of recovery, resilience, and restoration.

We built Stonehaven to bring that ancient practice home.
